The Sioux Falls School District and its 22 Community Learning Centers recently celebrated the nationwide, Lights on Afterschool event! 💡
This annual celebration highlights the importance of after-school programs and their positive impact on our communities. Each year, Lights on Afterschool brings families together to see the fun and enriching activities that keep our students engaged and excited to learn beyond the school day!
Our CLCs, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire, EmBe, Sioux Falls Family YMCA, and Volunteers of America, Dakotas, serve over 2,000 elementary students across Sioux Falls. From fall festivals and glow parties to movie nights and STEM stations, the celebrations were filled with creativity and learning!
Through weekly enrichment activities and unique experiences, our CLCs offer more than a safe place to go after school. They teach growth and curiosity and create community connections. We are grateful for our dedicated community partners and families who support these programs and help make out-of-school time meaningful for our students!
