HAPPY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
From all of us at EFA+
Today we celebrated an amazing year of learning. Some of our high school graduate alumni returned to us today to share future plans and words of wisdom. We also sent our 5th graders off to middle school, and allowed our returning students to soar up and meet their future teacher.
Have a great summer!

On Tuesday, students participated in a Community themed Multiple Intelligences Day! This event was unique because students moved through M.I. Day with their M.I. Family instead of their grade level classroom. Presenters joined us to share on a variety of topics such as: how journalism tells the story of our community, how to form a band in your community, how to give back to your community, and how to use resources available in the Sioux Falls community.

On Monday students participated in the Camp Golden Eagle Olympics...the EFA+ version of Field Day!

Students in Dance and P.E. enjoyed ending the year with a glow stick dance party and participating in all their favorite stations!

At EFA+ we end our year with Camp Golden Eagle!
3rd graders created camp journals to start off the week.

3rd grade students planned and worked at IronFox Farm today!

To celebrate a great year of art making, every art class gets to GLOW PAINT this week!

5th grade students used the Art Smarts and Body Smarts to draw and act out history!

Spring is in full swing for K01. They used their Nature Smarts today in multiple ways. They visited 1st grade’s chicks and then released their butterflies.

A big thank you to everyone who has signed up to help with Field Day! That sign up is full, and we’re so grateful.
The Spring Carnival is still in need of volunteers to help run games and help at the book fair. If you’re available to help in this way, check out the Spring Carnival page for the sign up links:

The cast of Beauty and the Beast after their final curtain call. They delivered four incredible performances over the weekend. More photos to come.

The babies are arriving! 1st graders have been learning about the development of chicken eggs in science. An exciting development this week is that the eggs are beginning to hatch. The babies then need to dry off, move out of the incubator, and learn to eat and drink.

For the second year in a row, the Sioux Falls School District is proud to be called one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association for Music Merchants Foundation. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, the commitment of our students, and to the close ties that have grown together over the years in our music education community. As we celebrate this recognition, let us also celebrate the power of music to inspire, educate, and unite us all.

Wow! SFSD is so grateful to the Sioux Falls STORM, LEVO, and media partners KELOLand TV for supporting Operation Hope & Caring where $18,417 was raised to support elementary schools that don't have PTAs/PTOs. We had a great time at the game and especially enjoyed the WIN! ❤️

EFA+ families, have you been wanting to get more involved? Spring Carnival is a great way to jump in. We need people to donate prizes for the games, and volunteers to run the games. Check out the sign up links for both and join us!

Tonight is THE night! Come out to support SFSD elementary schools without PTAs/PTOs as the Sioux Falls STORM take on the Green Bay Blizzard. It's also Star Wars night, so wear your gear and bring your lightsaber to this fun family event sponsored by LEVO Credit Union!

First grade was able to learn about the development of the chicken eggs today.
They learned about winners, yolkers, and quitters.
They practiced candling each egg to see how it was developing.
Through the candling students were able to see blood vessels, chicken embryos, and even a chicken eye!

The Weather Service indicates the greatest threat of severe weather did not materialize in Sioux Falls. We will begin our bus routes at approximately 3pm, so there will be a slight delay in getting elementary and middle school students home. High School dismisses at normal time.
