Meet Mr. Mendoza, our new Music teacher at Renberg Elementary!
My name is Eduardo Mendoza Reyes Ortiz, and I am from Bolivia, South America. Even though I moved to South Dakota five years ago I still can't get used to the winter. I graduated from Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD) and this is my first-year teaching music. On my free time I like to play the saxophone and compose songs. you can check out my YouTube channel to see some of the songs I have done.

Mrs. Haulgid, Kindergarten Teacher in K01, was nominated by Mrs. Husby, School Secretary for the SFSD Staff Star Award. Today, Superintendent Stavem presented Mrs. Hauglid with this award! Her students were so excited! Mrs. Hauglid is a dedicated, passionate and talented teacher. We are so lucky to have her as part of our Renberg family!

Mrs. Beth Carlson is the new Speech-Language Pathologist at Renberg Elementary. Mrs. Carlson is in her 18th year as a Speech-Language Pathologist and her 10th year in the district. She also serves students at GMMS. Mrs. Carlson has 3 children. She loves to sew, take pictures and digitally scrapbook family memories. She motivates students with enthusiasm, meaningful acitivities and strong relationships. Welcome to Renberg Mrs. Carlson!
There is no school in the Sioux Falls Public School District on Friday, September 2nd and Monday, September 5th. We look forward to seeing our Bobcats again on Tuesday, September 6th. Enjoy the long weekend!
School drop-offs and pick-ups can be messy! Take your time, stay alert, and obey the rules of the road. A safe and orderly process makes the day start and end on a positive note for both students and parents!

A new app for parents of bus-eligible students is coming soon! The FREE Stopfinder app allows parents/guardians/daycare providers to see pick-up and drop-off times, the location of the bus, and other features in a secure app. More information will be coming soon, including an invitation to set up your child's account in Stopfinder. Keep your students fueled to learn! SFSD is no longer able to offer free meals to all students. Now is a great time to add money to their My School Bucks account. Or, for families with qualifying income, it is important to fill out the Free/Reduced Meal application!
Log on to the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus to apply! If you have questions or need help filling out the application please call 605-367-6180. We are happy to help!
Please note: if your student does not have a free/reduced lunch application on file, you will be charged full price for breakfast and lunch starting the first day of school. Thank you!
