Team 6-2 social studies students are studying Ancient Chinese Inventions. Making paper from wood pulp was an important one. Students made their own with sawdust, an old blender and homemade 'screens'. After, they painted Chinese Calligraphy on them. What a fun activity!

This year’s 8th grade accelerated Social Studies students participated in NHD-National History Day. Students selected a topic related to the theme Frontiers: People, Places, Ideas. Work was showcased as an exhibit, website, documentary or performance on March 2 in the library. Judges from throughout the community met with students to provide feedback and ask questions about their work. We will soon be announcing finalists who will move onto the South Dakota Regional contest. We are proud of how hard each student worked on these projects.
