Team 6-2 and 6-3 held a toy drive to benefit the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety this last month. Our students and their families donated overwhelming amounts of new toys that were delivered to the shelter on Dec. 15. Team 6-2 and 6-3 want to thank everyone for their support of our community outreach project. We are proud of our Bison for looking beyond the walls to support the community.
29 BRMS band students auditioned for MS All-State Band in grades 6-8. Students who audition must prepare 3 scales and 2 etudes. The audition process takes a lot of hard work and these students have improved so much through the process. The final audition results will be announced in January. We are so proud of all of the students who worked so hard throughout the audition process!
90 band students played a variety of holiday tunes for the BRMS staff during todays staff meeting. It was a great way to wrap up the holiday season! Thank you BRMS band students! 🎶❤️🖤💛

Congratulations to Avrianna Jung,Harrizon Lopez, and Brynn Olson who are the top three 7th grade winners for the 2023 Human Rights Day Essay Contest. This contest has never had three winners from the same school before. We are so incredibly proud of all of you and the hard work you put into this contest.
Students will be celebrated on Sunday, December 10th at the Award Ceremony at the Multi-Cultural Center at 2pm. Please join us in celebrating this achievement!
December 2nd was National Special Education Day. This special day is dedicated to honoring the federal special education law, (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), signed into law on December 2, 1972, and the students, teachers, and administrators striving to make special education and services for all students possible.
We want to honor and thank each and every Special Education Teacher in our building for all that they do to support our students. We appreciate you!
Tonight we held our Orchestra concert. Great music was played by the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade orchestra students!! We are so proud of the hard work everyone worked to put on an outstanding show.

School Board Member Dawn Marie Johnson stopped by the O.S.O. classroom yesterday to answer questions from our 8th graders. This was a great opportunity for the students to get to know her and learn more about how the School Board works. We appreciate her taking the time to have such a candid conversation with our class.
