What are your retirement plans?
“I intend to recharge, by doing some of the things I've been unable to do for so long. Chief among that is rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation to enjoy the so-called,and what I hope will be, the Golden Years.”
What will you miss most about teaching at WHS?
“I will miss the incredible people with whom I have had the privilege of working with for the past three decades--as well as the great kids and supportive families we have in Sioux Falls. Teaching and coaching colleagues, administration, and the unmatched support staff have made going to work something I really enjoyed and looked forward to most days.”
What is your favorite memory from teaching at WHS?
“My favorite memories will be the sense of reward knowing that I did make a difference--not necessarily for everyone, but for so many that thanked me and have reached out to me to tell me so in the many years I've spent here. I am exhausted by the tremendous change in education over the years. It's time to pass it on to someone else who has the enthusiasm and energy that I once had to do what teaching demands these days.”
