Excuse us while we brag for a minute… Our Superintendent is pretty talented! Dr. Jane Stavem is an accomplished pianist, vocalist, trumpet player, French horn player, percussionist, xylophone player… oh, and she also plays harmonica! 😉 These talents, along with her deep love for all things Fine Arts, earned her the honor of Parade Marshal for Festival of Bands 2022! We are proud to be lead by someone who values the role extracurriculars play in “preparing each student to succeed in a changing world!”

Friday September 30th, 2022, is Orange shirt day which began in Canada in 2013. It promotes awareness about the history of American Indian and Native Residential boarding school systems which still impact Native American and First Nations communities in the United States and Canada. The day honors the children who were removed from their families and forced into boarding schools and remembers those who never returned home. So, Friday September 30th, 2022, when Native students are wearing orange shirts it's…because EVERY CHILD MATTERS!

Hello Terry Redlin Families--The South Dakota weather continues to have warmer than average temperatures this week. However, the daily temperature can swing wildly up and down. For example, students will arrive today with temps in the upper 40s and will leave school with temperatures in the 80s. We encourage your child to be prepared for the temperature changes by having a jacket or long sleeve available for them each day.

Ms. Just is excited to share the first, new experience with the Rise students. Through the Education Foundation grant that Terry Redlin was so honored to receive last spring, the Physical Education department purchased trikes that will better fit the students. They were thoroughly surprised and excited to ride the trikes.
