Last week was all about eggs and chicks at Sonia Sotomayor Elementary, and our students, had a blast diving into the egg-citing world of science and storytelling! On a week of testing, it was something everyone was excited about.

Our kindergarteners K04 and K02 teamed up to write some awesome stories about chicks hatching from eggs. It was amazing to see their imaginations take flight as they explored the journey from egg to chick together.

Meanwhile, Room 204 got cozy with some egg-cellent reads as they flipped through books written by our awesome kindergarteners. The pride and joy in their creations were simply priceless!

First graders in Sr. Ledesma’s and Srta. Del Caño classes had a special treat with a fun presentation all about eggs. They were so eager to learn and asked the best questions!

And guess what? Even some big fifth graders couldn’t resist the charm of our fluffy chicks. They gave up their recess to snuggle and cuddle with them. Now that’s what we call dedication!
Sra. Landry and her little Lobos at K04 made our week with their incredible science project. ¡Muchas gracias! for sharing this with everyone who was interested. As the week wrapped up, our school was filled with laughter, learning, and lots of love for our feathered friends. Here’s to more egg-citing adventures ahead!
