What a week we had, at Sonia Sotomayor. Full of music, dance and prices. Our second grade students delight us with their musical “Fiesta de pijamas”. They did a marvelous job on their performances. Thank you, to our three wonderful music teachers for all your hard work and dedication.
But not only that Friday was full of surprises, we held the first, Juegos Florales 2023. In celebration of St Jordi Day. This is celebrated in Barcelona each year. It’s a celebration of World Book Day. Our students wrote poems in Spanish to share with others. We had three winners from each classroom.
Also a special visit from the “Edison Music Show”. The fifth graders were inspired to join the team next year. A wonderful and talented group indeed. We are very thankful for the visit. Here is a sneak peek of our week enjoy the video:
