Miss Hope from SDSU Extension Office is visiting Renberg 301 once a week to discuss healthy eating. Students learn about a new fruit or vegetable and then make a snack with that food. Students are part of every step of making the snack.

Renberg 301 students had Junior Achievement, and students wanted to thank the business who sponsored our class, A&B Business Solutions. A big thank you as well to our volunteer, Angela, from Walmart. She taught the students about the choices they have when it comes to money. They can save, spend, earn, or donate their money.

Renberg 101 students started the morning with Restorative Practice involving mindfulness and a foot shake greeting. Students also shared the super power they would like to have for a day!

Renberg students in 301 had a scavenger hunt around the classroom to learn more about Martin Luther King Jr. Students had to read facts and answer questions about Martin Luther King and his life. They learned many interesting facts about him.

We have had indoor recess for the last few days. Students found lots of things to do with the indoor recess kits provided by the Renberg PTA!

Renberg had our quarterly PBIS assembly to recogize our students of the month, classes of the month and the students who were showing ROAR on the buses. The golden Art award went to K01, the golden Library award went to 201, andthe golden Gym award went to 501. We had a 3 -way tie for golden Attendance award, with 101, 301, 401 all having an average of 96% attendance during December. For quarter 3, Renberg staff and students are focusing on the A in ROAR, which is acceptance. Acceptance is accepting others for who they are and treating them the way we would like to be treated. Way to go to all our Bobcats!

A string trio from the SD Symphany visited Renberg, and the 2nd and 3rd graders enjoyed the music. They discussed the instruments and how they work. The students heard how high and low the instruments went, what the bow is made from, and what a composer is. Thank you to the South Dakota State Symphony for coming to Renberg and sharing your knowledge and love for music.

Renberg 101 and 301 students made "balloons" last week before break. Both classes read the book "Balloons Over Broadway." Students then worked together to make some fun balloons. Several 501 students came down and helped the younger students.

101 had so much fun using the indoor recess bin on this chilly morning. Thank you Renberg PTA for providing the bins for us to have during indoor recess.

Renberg's 4th and 5th graders did fun STEM activities with the SDSU Robotics Club. Students had a great time!

World Kindness Day was Wednesday, November 13th. We challenged all Renberg Bobcats to do something kind during their day at school or home. Students then wrote something kind they did or could do on a sticky note. They then hung the note on a poster in the hallway. Be kind 😃🩵⭐️

5th grade Bobcats worked on Makey Makey in Library on Friday.! 😃
