The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled in the Patriot Post program. The purpose of the Patriot Post is to provide Lincoln High students with a small, respectful, and community-focused learning environment that through the use of instructional strategies, predictable accountability and structure, students can achieve academic and social success while preparing for life after high school.

Your preteen is navigating their first summer without childcare. Older siblings are caring for younger siblings at home and meal preparation is a little too much responsibility. You’ve hired a teenage companion to take your kids to the parks, camps, and activities but this means funds are tight for food.
These are all real scenarios playing out in homes and apartments across Sioux Falls. That’s why the Sioux Falls School District is proud to, once again, offer free breakfasts and lunches to all children, ages 1-18 during June and July 2023.
Using meal counts from previous summers, the Office of Child Nutrition established a schedule for breakfast to be offered at eight schools on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Lunch will be served Mondays through Thursdays at six locations and Monday through Friday at two locations. The schedule will be emailed to SFSD families and will be posted on the District’s website: sf.k12.sd.us. No income eligibility paperwork is required..

Lincoln senior Emma Forster was awarded South Dakota Journalist of the Year, which is partnered with JEA (Journalism Education Assocation). She has been a Perspectives Editor and Online Editor-in Chief for the Statesman. In order to be considered, Emma submitted a portfolio of her journalism work. She will now be considered for the national competition!

We hosted a track and field event at Lincoln for the first time in nearly TWENTY years yesterday, and it was great to see the crowd supporting athletes from Lincoln and surrounding schools! Friday, LHS will host the Greeno Meet. We would love to see you there!

The track and field season is well under way, and our Patriot athletes have been performing spectacularly! Yesterday, both boys and girls participated in the Metro Conference Meet and Howard Wood. The boys came away with 2nd place honors, and the girls finished in 1st!

Strike up the band! During a surprise announcement tonight, the Lincoln High School Marching Band learned it has been selected as one of only ten marching bands to participate in the 2024 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC! Congrats to LHS!

The School Board has voted to move the last day of student classes to Friday, May 26, 2023 - requiring students to make up two of the five days missed due to weather. Staff will report through Friday, June 2, 2023.
