Boys Basketball

The Lincoln boys basketball team is riding an incredible hot streak to start the season. They are 8-0, with impressive wins over many top teams. Currently, LHS holds the #1 spot in statewide seeding with 44.375 seed points.

Senior leadership has been key so far for the Pats, with Edison Noll and Luke Krempges using their successes this past fall on the gridiron to heap lead the way on the hardwood. Isaiah Teer has also been a key contributor off the bench for the Patriots, using keen court awareness and scoring ability to provide a boost.

A talented junior class is led by Sam DeGroot, Sam Ericsson, and Justin Bilal. DeGroot leads the team in scoring and rebounding, and is considered one of the top players in the state. Ericsson's sharp shooting has gotten Lincoln off to great starts in games, and he has the ability to score 20 or more points on any given night. Bilal provides athleticism and length on the defensive end, with an ability to score at all levels on offense.

Two sophomores, Brody Schafer and Deondre Painter, also see action for the Patriot boys. Schafer, coming off a stellar football season, starts at point guard for Lincoln and leads the team in assists. Painter provides a scoring spark off the bench with an ability to guard opponent's best perimeter players.

Coach Luke Hannemann has his team playing high level basketball, and the team has hopes to play deep into March. The Pats play host to O'Gorman this Friday in a boys-girls double header!
