
Last week, several JHS students competed at the regional Art Wars competition! Congrats to Kailah Miller (Clay - 1st place) and Claire Buskohl (Painting - honorable mention). Kailah will advance to the state competition in Rapid City. Congratulations JHS Artists!

This is a great opportunity to learn how to get started in the field of Cybersecurity and Technology by taking college-level courses while in high school.
Presentations at 5pm and 7pm will explain how students can get started and the program's benefits.

Tonight only! JHS, RHS, and LHS will be performing their one-act plays before competition later this week. Admission to the event will be a non-perishable food item or a cash donation to Feeding South Dakota. Doors open at 6:00pm, first performance starts at 6:30pm.


Congratulations to the JHS Legacy Show Choir for their outstanding performance at Roosevelt's Executive Showcase on Saturday. They brought home Grand Champion, Best Vocals, Best Visuals, Best Band, Best Soloist, and People's Choice Award honors.


Last week, students in Mrs. Beck's AP Physics class worked on measuring equipotential lines. They then used that data to draw the electric field that surrounds a charge.

The 2nd Annual JHS Cake Wars was held Saturday, January 21st. The Girls Soccer team took 1st place, followed by Boys Golf in 2nd, and Softball in 3rd. A big thank you to the JHS Booster Club for sponsoring this delicious event!




Last week, author and JHS Parent, Achut Deng, shared her memoir "Don't Look Back" with BSU students. Students were able to hear the first chapter of her book, ask questions about the writing process, and learn more about Achut's life as a child from Sudan.
