
Earlier this spring, the JHS debate team finished their regular season with a 3rd place finish at State. Ben and Josiah received 2nd place in Public Forum Debate. This summer, nine debate and interp students will go on to compete at Nationals in Arizona.

Pop Culture booths took over during Cavalier halftime yesterday as students taking Ms. Gregg's Graphics class shared their designs with their peers during the Spring Comic Con.

As part of Inclusion Week, the Unified Basketball Team took the court Thursday morning in front of a packed house! JHS students cheered on the team as they showed off their skills.

Mrs. Hittner's PBL Physics class has been working on building shoebox-sized houses and installing electric circuits in them. Today, they showed off their houses in a Parade of Homes.

Freshman biology is learning how to use pedigrees to predict probabilities of inheriting traits and diseases. Today, Sanford research scientists and genetic counselors shared how they use pedigrees and other tools to predict the inheritance of genes associated with cancer.


Time to get crafty! Best Buddies met today, and buddies worked together to make friendship bracelets with pipe cleaners and beads. It was a great opportunity for buddies to catch up during Inclusion Week!

Join us tomorrow, Tuesday March 21st, from 4:00-7:30 pm in the JHS Commons for Parent Teacher Conferences! The Counseling Department will also be hosting sessions to learn more about College Sports Eligibility, and taking AP and Dual Credit Courses to earn college credits!


Join us tonight, Monday March 20th, for the Spring Choir Concert. The concert will feature performances by Independence, Mixed Chorus, Declaration, Chorale, and the Concert Choir. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and $1 for those 65+.
