Last month, John Harris Elementary students participated in the #EverybodyReads initiative. We started the month off with a bare tree, created by Miss Levisay, John Harris Elementary School art teacher!
Students began reading books and our tree "grew" leaves every time they read a book.
As classes read a book together, our growing tree would also be filled with birds! Each bird represented a book that the students read in school together.
By the end of the month, our tree grew into an impressive feature of our student's accomplishments! In all, our students read 39,543 books! We are so proud of our students!
