Our school has been home to three student teachers this first semester. As their time with us is coming to a close, we wanted to share with you a little about who they are and thank them for their time here with us.

SFSD's new Canvas platform allows students and families to access school assignments and homework anytime, anywhere. When winter weather can be predicted, students and staff will take devices home to continue their learning. Are you prepared? Check out the guidance BEFORE you need it!

What is Canvas?
The Sioux Falls School District is committed to each student's success. Making sure students, staff, and parents are on the same page is important. Canvas is a single learning management system for K through 12th grade families and a central starting point for teaching and learning. Canvas keeps teachers, students, and families connected while providing equitable access to interactive, engaging content from anywhere at anytime.
Canvas takes the place of previously used tools like SeeSaw, Schoology, and Google Classroom - making parent engagement more streamlined and accessible for all.
Please take time to create an account in Canvas and link to your student(s) using the pairing code provided by your child's teacher in Friday's communication.

Good morning Hayward Families!
The sun peeking up over the school this morning was too beautiful not to capture. We are already in our 3rd official week back at school and our students are doing amazing jobs learning new routines and expectations.
The morning drop off routine is coming together as well. The circle drive out front can be a crazy place in the morning and we truly appreciate everyone's willingness to help keep traffic flowing and keeping everyone safe by making drop offs quick and for only making right hand turns out front. We want everyone to start their day as quick and safe as possible. It takes a village to keep it all moving smoothly, so THANK YOU!
This is going to be a magnificent year, we can already tell!
