First and second grade students finished up their last writing unit of the year with a publishing party! Students took time to share their final writing piece in the opinion genre. First graders shared opinions about a school activity that makes kids feel good. Their learning goal was to state the opinion, reasons, and use adjectives and conjunctions to make their writing sound more interesting. Second graders had similar writing goals and also a goal to use transitional words and examples to support their reasons. Students enjoyed sharing and celebrating their hard work together!
