Area 2: Spanish Immersion Program Expansion and Boundary Proposal – Fall of 2025.
The growth and demand for enrollment into the Sioux Falls School District One Way Spanish Immersion Program has prompted the district to propose an expansion to the elementary and middle school programs at this time. The proposal will be to add a class of one-way immersion at both the new northwest elementary school and at Rosa Parks Elementary School. This expansion will occur in the fall of 2025. We will also create a second middle school location at the same time to accommodate the increased elementary programming. Edison will remain as one site and will service students in the Edison, George McGovern, and Memorial boundaries. Ben Reifel will be opened as a second middle school location and will provide services for students in the Ben Reifel, Patrick Henry, and Whittier attendance areas.

Area 4: Community Campus Location: Renovation of a current building to allow the Community Campus program to exist at one location – Fall of 2025.
Due to the growth in the number of students in the Community Campus program and the space needed to accommodate those students, Community Campus transitioned from one location to now using two locations. Over the past few years, the split locations have not been able to provide the effectiveness of programming that could be reached at one location. The District is proposing that a specific section of the Axtell Park building be renovated to accommodate this program at one location for the fall of 2025.
