You may have noticed an increase in staff presence and orange cones during your morning drop off. Safety & efficiency is what we are striving for with these procedural changes. The Early Childhood bussing will resume on Monday, January 3rd, which may reduce the number of students being dropped off in front. However, we will continue with the processes we put into place prior to winter break. Please follow the following expectations when you drop off your children at school:
- If you would like to walk your student into school, please park in the parking lot.
- pull up as far as you can in the drop off lane. Staff are guiding you to do so
- students should exit quickly to keep the flow of traffic moving
- ask your students to exit on the sidewalk side of your car to ensure their safety
- the outside lane is not for drop off. This was one of the safety concerns Officer Boetel addressed with multiple parents when he assisted one morning. This lane is for parents or staff who are parking in the parking lot or for parents who have completed drop off.
- be mindful of the crosswalks
- Early Childhood Parents...you are required to walk your child into the foyer where their teacher is waiting. You must park in the parking lot.
While we understand that some of these expectations have created routine changes within families, we appreciate your help and support with this. Everyone is in a hurry in the morning and after school! We simply want to keep your child(ren) safe and aid in the efficiency of the process. Thank you!
