Symbols of freedom banner with a star on it

Students from the Sioux Falls School District Community Learning Centers brought history to life through art and music, thanks to a grant from the Daughters of the American Revolution!

With the help of Eugene Field A+ Elementary's art and music teachers, students part of the Anne Sullivan CLC program explored the stories behind America’s most iconic symbols. From the stars on our flag to the Statue of Liberty, they put all their knowledge into a performance called Symbols of Freedom.

The unique production blended creativity with education, teaching our young learners about the symbols that represent our nation’s ideals.
