On May 19th, K-5th graders showcased their artistic talents in our first-ever "Art Show"! This was a rescheduled night after the crazy weather on May 12th! Mrs. Cabrera, our art teacher, had all of the students' work displayed on the class bulletin boards for parents and guests to view and see. They did a magnificent job! Thanks, Mrs. Cabrera, for all of your time and talents put into this and your enthusiasm for art all year long! The students will miss you next year! Best of luck in your new role!
After the art show, families gathered in the gym to welcome our incoming Kindergarten families that will be joining us next year! It is so fun to see their smiling faces and get a chance to meet new families who are joining our ACE family.
We then said our 'farewells' to our outgoing 5th graders and their families. Some families finished up with their last child through our halls so they were gifted a poem and plaque to commemorate their time and efforts in our school. THANK YOU to those families who have volunteered so many years to our school and the investment you gave to your child's education. You will all be missed so much!
We also said our goodbyes to Mrs. Hannemann as she retires soon and welcomed in our new principal, Mrs. VanDuyn. We thank Mrs. Hannemann for all of her years of service to our school! It was great for Mrs. VanDuyn to be able to meet some of the families that evening as well! Welcome!
As a final ending to the evening, 5th graders and the new incoming kindergarteners were paired up to plant a flower together to symbolize the coming together of new families to our great ACE community. This is always such a special moment!
Thanks to everyone who helped plan this night! Thanks to the PTO for serving ice cream donated by Culvers! Thanks, Culvers!! What a fun night!
