Arbor Day Farms

Keeping with tradition, the All City 4th and 5th graders went on an end-of-the-year class trip together on April 28th. This year this crew traveled to the Treetop Village in Nebraska City, NE for an all-day adventure of FUN! As their website mentions, Treetop Village is located inside the Tree Adventure Park and it is the only place in America where you can explore 11 different treehouses scattered across 3 acres and connected by unique bridges and netted walkways — all without ever touching the ground! The WonderNet is a large, raised area for jumping and playing. Treetop Village also features a 50-foot slide you can race down and head back up again for more fun in the trees.

Students, teachers, and parents enjoyed the beautiful day exploring the walkways, swings, climbing excursions, slides, and so much more!  They also took part in the ecosystems tour that included interactive games that match animals to their native habitat and explore the advantages of camouflage. They built a food web chain of producers, consumers, and decomposers, and then dug up some decomposers for up-close viewing.

Thanks to all of the parent chaperones for helping with the day and for all of those who organized it. Thanks also to all those who supported the ACE School Store every Thursday and other events throughout the year that helps fund this trip and bus. Students can't wait to see where they get to go next year!
