Other Requirements
Sports First Aid or Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries or equivalent; Concussion in Sports – What You Need to Know (must be renewed on an annual basis. Knowledge of the sport. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.
Essential Functions & Duties
Establishes equitable practice schedules for all sports in terms of time, length, frequency and access to facilities.
Assists the Coordinator of Athletics/Physical Education in scheduling contests.
Oversees ticket sales, secures help as needed and assists in crowd supervision for events.
Schedules busses as needed, requisitions supplies and equipment and schedules elementary building use for practice.
Assists coaches in maintaining accurate inventories, issuing supplies and equipment, securing and evaluating game officials.
Provides assistance to coaches at games and practices with injuries and other emergencies.
Acts as liaison with building principals and Coordinator of Athletics/Physical Education.
Maintains reports of contests and accidents and forwards to appropriate personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Working Conditions
Climatic Environment - Inside and Outside
Often subjected to extremes of cold below 32 degrees and heat above 100 degrees. Occasionally subjected to extreme noise, odors, mists, dust and poor ventilation.
Hazards
Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases. Travel between locations will cause exposure to hazardous driving and walking conditions.
Work Year
Extra duty/extra pay positions are for a fiscal year (July 1-June30). Duties of the position may be performed any time during that time period depending upon the position/season.
