Requirements
Education Level | Two years successful post high school education, or commensurate experience in a student-support role. |

Experience Required | At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills, knowledge of strategies to support students, knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and progress monitoring. |
Physical Requirements | Requires hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination, keyboarding, and telephoning. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, fingers. Physical support and management of students. |
Other Requirements | Regular and reliable attendance. Computer competency in word processing, data bases and spreadsheets. Regular contact with students. |

Essential Function & Duties
Provides academic support to small groups of students in math, grades K-6.
Under the direction of a certified staff member, assists with diagnostic math assessments and identifies students at risk of falling behind grade level.
Assist with the design and implementation of academic interventions using iReady lessons and research-based methodology.
Works collaboratively with grade level teams to develop intervention lessons for students.
Assists certified staff members in analyzing school-wide math data and reports data to administration.
Maintains student records.
Completes student supervision duties as requested.
Participates in professional learning as required or requested by the District.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Climatic Environment | Inside
Climate controlled environment with some temperature variations. Typically, work is conducted in a comfortable environment.
Hazards
Stairs and exposure to communicable diseases may be potential hazards. In labs/classrooms there could be exposure to toxic chemicals and fumes. Equipment that supports classroom instruction could be potentially hazardous under certain conditions. Regular contact with students with emotional, cognitive and/or conduct related disorders with potentially aggressive, assaultive behaviors resulting in frequent exposure to physical and verbal abuse.
