Physical Requirements

Requires constant hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination; intermittent keyboarding, sitting and lifting. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, fingers, standing, walking, and carrying.

Other Requirements

Required to attend certification courses offered by CANS before or after hiring. Previous institutional quantity preparation of food service experience 1 to 3 years preferred.

Essential Functions & Duties

  1. 1. Supervises and assists in training and scheduling staff.

  2. Orders all food and equipment.

  3. Receives and stores food and supplies.

  4. Assists in production as needed.

  5. Keeps production and participation records.

  6. Maintains safety and sanitation procedures.

  7. Adheres to District guidelines.

  8. Liaison between students, teachers and building administration.

  9. Evaluates staff.

  10. Performs lunchbox duties as needed.

  11. Completes daily deposits.

  12. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Working Conditions

Climatic Environment - Inside

Occasionally subjected to cold below 32 degrees and heat above 100 degrees. Occasionally subjected to atmospheric conditions of odors, mists and poor ventilation.

Hazards

Occasionally subjected to mechanical and electrical hazards. Caution also required to avoid potential for burns. Continuously wear special clothing.
